Roane County High School (proposed)

To resolve underutilized and aging facilities, Roane County Schools hired Lewis Group Architects to conduct a facility/operational assessment that lead to a potential operational savings of over $1 Million per year. Together with Roane County schools, LGA collected data and performed analysis that led to multiple options to solve these issues. Ultimately, the Roane County Board of Education decided to combine three schools and leave two smaller schools, located at extreme ends of the county, to minimize travel distance. The new K-14 school is focused on preparing students for whichever path they choose after graduation.

Located near Roane State CC, students will have the opportunity to participate in middle college and TCAT and Career Technical education, while being offered a wider variety of course offerings such as AP, STEM, Performing Arts, ROTC and Cyber Security. The new school is designed for 1600 students and is designed to promote a collaborative environment where students have the opportunity to choose a post – secondary path that will contribute to the success of their future.
