Daniel Boone High School Athletic Upgrades
The main design intent is the implementation of a common pathway that creates an axis for the new infrastructure to connect to all existing and future facilities. The new accessible plazas, walkways, and new pathway lighting direct end users into shared spaces. Existing home grandstand and adjacent storage building were demolished and a new home grandstand with a new press box and filming platform were constructed in place of the preceding one, accommodating around 2,300 spectators. Three separate buildings allocated underneath the bleacher structure consolidate storage, concession and toilet facilities.
The existing field house was remodeled in order to serve as a gateway into the complex, as well as ticket booth and visitor’s public restrooms. The existing visitor bleacher structure was replaced with new ones. The existing track and field and cross country lockers were renovated, and a new field house facility serves soccer and football amenities. The cross country track was reworked into a new pathway that encompasses the new design layout. The existing softball field was relocated within the adjacent axis and incorporates new lockers, new dugout for both home and visitor, new batting cage, and new bleacher sitting and press box. The baseball field also procured new lockers, a new dugout for both home fans and visitors, a new batting cage, new bleacher seating, and a press box. Site work grading and implementation of irrigation in the baseball and softball fields presented the opportunity of new turf in these two fields. The existing football field lights were relocated and new softball and baseball field lights were implemented.
