University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis partnered with the UT Medical Center at Knoxville to fulfill the demand for a College of Pharmacy in the East Tennessee region. The 15,000 sq. ft. addition to the Graduate School of Medicine Building includes new classroom spaces with a variety of learning settings, conference spaces, and administrative spaces coupled with state-of-the-art computer, information technology, and audiovisual capabilities.
Classroom spaces include both a 75 seat tiered space and a 1,325 sq. ft. flexible, multi-purpose space that has full telecommunications and conferencing capabilities. The three-story entry tower provides a clear identity for the facility located in the heart of the Medical Center campus.
The UT College of Pharmacy provides tremendous learning, research, and clinical experiences for its students and staff through close working relationships with many health care institutions in Tennessee and the surrounding area. To provide real-life opportunities for clinical and advanced professional training, they integrate teaching, research, and service programs with those of sister hospitals and health facilities throughout the state.
