Union Grove Elementary School

Union Grove Elementary School, in west Blount County, was built for 450 K-5 students. Carpenter Elementary School, another project by LGA, served as a model for the planning and design of this school. The school has been designed with a central core for 800 students containing administration, gymnasium, media center, and cafeteria. The school can accommodate future growth by a simple expansion of the classroom wings.

Along with 30 classrooms, the school also features commons area with a portable stage, computer laboratories, bus and parent drop-off areas, and playground areas. To one side of the core are the music and fine arts classrooms and special education. To the other side are two classroom wings, one containing Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd grade, and the other containing 3rd grade through 5th grade.
