Roane Medical Center

The new Roane Medical Center, located in Roane County, consists of a 50-bed replacement hospital with an emphasis on outpatient and diagnostic services and a new 30,000 SF Professional Office Building. The hospital includes a state-of the-art imaging department, laboratory, pharmacy, a surgery suite with four operating rooms, an emergency department with helicopter landing pad, and an ICU department with six beds.

While negotiating a dramatically sloping site, the facility is designed to maintain accessibility and visibility for emergency vehicles and helicopters as well as drive-in patients, visitors, and staff. It also maximizes the efficiency of day-to-day staff and patient flows by maintaining most of the delivery of care functions on one floor.
