Pond Gap Elementary School

New interior finishes and upgraded building services (including a sprinkler system) were provided throughout the existing 36,000 SF facility. The additions and renovations to Pond Gap Elementary School provided vital facility upgrades to the students and staff.

New construction, totaling 58,000 SF, included: new Administration/Guidance/Clinic suite with a secured entry vestibule, new Special Education suite including two classrooms and shared support spaces, new Media Center which allowed the existing Media Center to be repurposed into classroom space, new nine classroom wing which allowed the removal of all temporary classroom buildings from the site, new Art and Music classrooms with applicable support and storage areas, new competition Gymnasium which made the existing Gym/Playroom available for a variety of daily and after-hours uses, new Kitchen and Dining facilities which allowed for more efficient operations and allowed the existing Food Service area to be made available for after-hours usage, and a redesigned site circulation to allow for more efficient, safer access for car, bus and delivery traffic.
