Jefferson Park at White Pine Senior Living

This facility is a skilled-care nursing home that is contained in a small-house, person-centered design in keeping with the concepts of The Green House Project organization. The Green House concept features a home-like environment that embraces universal design and encourages a culture change from the prevalent institutional model. The project consists of a total of thirty-six (36) certified skilled nursing beds in three (3) Green House Homes located on an eleven (11) acre site on Main Street within a half mile from the center of the White Pine community.

Each Farmhouse-style Green House home  isa frame-built structure of approximately 7,700 SF and includes 12 private bedroom and bathroom suites. The facility has an open floor plan in the common areas such as the hearth room, dining, and kitchen to encourage social participation. Other features included in the facility are a den, therapy, hair care, and bathing spa. Each home also has outdoor areas including a screened porch and a fenced courtyard with shade structures and raised planter beds to provide a variety of environments and experiences.

The administrative functions for the facility are located in a 1,500 SF cottage at the center of the complex that consists of an administration office, two private offices, a conference room, kitchenette, supply storage, and a community room.
