Grainger High School

Centrally located in Grainger County, this high school is the largest single building ever planned in Grainger County. It consists of more than 175,000 sq. ft. of educational, vocational, and athletic facilities on a beautiful 58-acre site. While allowing for future expansion, the building design provides a rich learning environment for a current student capacity of 1,600.

The design of the school incorporates a multi-purpose “Cafetorium” with kitchen facilities, a performance platform, and a seating capacity of 600. This space can be used for both school and community events. The gymnasium and vocational areas are included in the main building along with science, math, social studies, and language classrooms. An elevated walking track is part of the 1,600-seat gymnasium and allows for all handicap students and adults to have full access of the facilities and activities.
