Fort Loudoun Medical Center

The new medical campus consists of an existing facility (Covenant Medical Plaza) and two new facilities: a new 50-bed replacement hospital with emphasis on outpatient and diagnostic services and new 30,000 SF Medical Office Building. The campus provides medical services to an ever-growing region of East Tennessee, so its location and visibility are important. LGA’s concept for the new facilities is informed by technical hospital functions as well as patient and visitor needs.

The main hospital entrance is celebrated by a large transparent curtain and a welcoming, expressive drop-off canopy. The exterior of the buildings is clad in two tones of red and brown brick to give the outside an appealing first impression. The warm and comfortable character that the hospital provides on the outside is visibly maintained throughout the inside.
