The Grove Church, formerly known as Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Kingston, has determined that their present aging building no longer meets their current or future ministry needs.
To accommodate the pattern of growth they are experiencing and with the goal of expanding their successful ministries, the congregation has purchased a 47-acre wooded site that would offer greater visibility and expandability. The masterplan for the site includes a 30,000 square foot building that can accommodate up to 1,000 in worship and a two-story educational wing with dedicated children and youth facilities. The planned parking area for over 300 vehicles will also serve the proposed recreation complex which includes baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, and soccer as well as a playground.
A ground breaking is scheduled for later this year.
