PALS (Personal Auto Locator Service) engaged Lewis Group Architects to transform an 8,000 sq. ft. casket warehouse building into a 11,000 sq. ft. contemporary automobile dealership with an eye-catching design that would draw attention when viewed from the nearby interstate.

The existing pre-engineered metal building was in poor condition and required additional structural support in order to meet current codes. The facility was to include a Sales floor, Conference area, Customer Lounge, Offices, Staff Break Room, Parts Department, and Service Department. In order to maintain the maximum display area for vehicles on the compact site, LGA created the additional programmed area by adding a 2200 square foot mezzanine level within the existing building footprint for staff support spaces. In addition to creating a complete redesign of the existing interior spaces, LGA created a new exterior design which included colorful Metal Panel facades, a new entry tower and separate entries for the Parts Department and the Service Department.
