At a very early age, Jerry was drawn to the arts. It was in his eighth grade art class that he learned how impactful his 3D perspective drawing class would have on his future. Born in Nashville, the oldest child of blue collar parents, Jerry never expected to be an architect, not to mention, an owner and founder of his own firm. He was exposed to numerous projects in the area of Education early in his career where a fascination grew from the impact architecture had on students, teachers, and entire communities. He knew from these experiences: this was his purpose and his focus moving forward.
His vision was to create a firm that would have a positive impact on cities and regions where we live and work and a culture that would promote collaboration, mentorship, and education. Through his leadership, LGA has become one of the largest architectural firms in East Tennessee and a leader in the fields of Education and Healthcare architecture.
Jerry lives in Knoxville with his family. His free time is spent Cooking, Fishing, Golfing, and on his tractor.

The various LEED Project Credit Checklists are reviewed for opportunities to incorporate sustainable and ever-conscious design into all projects. We have found that sustainable design is not something added as an after-thought at the end of the project, but a conscious and thoughtful element of the process of incorporating appropriate sustainable practices into the design, while educating the Owner of the life-cycle cost benefits and enhanced quality of space available.
